Studio Mumbai founder Bijoy Jain will talk about his most recent projects, including the Palmyra House and the Tara House both located in Maharashtra, India. The talk will be moderated by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien.

Bijoy Jain is from Mumbai, India and received his M.Arch from Washington University in St. Louis. He founded Studio Mumbai in 2005 to focus on the Indian landscape as a resource and inspiration for his designs.

Speakers Makram El Kadi and Ziad Jamaleddine are partners of the firm L. E. F. T. Architects. L.E.F.T is dedicated to investigating the intersection of architecture, politics, and cultural production and is currently involved in several projects in the Middle East.

El Kadi co-taught with Steven Holl at GSAPP, while Jamaleddine previously worked for
Steven Holl Architects starting in 1999. They have conducted research projects
at Yale, Cornell, UPenn, and Columbia.
